Our Story

I started Destiny Handbags after seeing so many items made in foreign countries. I went to a home show and purchased a bag when it shipped 7 Made in China slips fell out and my life was changed. I launched Destiny Handbags in 2015 as a Direct Sales Company. I had women selling our bags around the country. When Covid hit we didn't do parties anymore and we had to pivot. I was looking for a brick and mortar location when a mobile boutique idea came to my husband. We purchased Betsy the Bag Wagon in 2022 and go to events up and down the East Coast. 

In 2025 we are excited to announce our Affiliate Program. You can sell Destiny Handbags as your own Boutique Owner. Looking to launch a business with handbags we are your supplier! We will offer ready to ship bags, design your own, and seasonal creations. My mission of creating jobs for people here in the USA hasn’t changed. I will always offer bags made in the USA.

Each bag in our Destiny D.Y.O. Line is made by work at home seamstresses in North Carolina. We use machine washable luxurious fabrics that enable you to carry you bag daily. If it gets dirty simply throw it in the washer and air dry it! We also carry the most popular handbag styles and trends.
